Crossgate Library
Crossgate Library strives to serve the Lord by providing Christian based materials to patrons of all ages, as well as, providing resources for Lifegroups. You can expect to find a friendly, relaxing atmosphere in which to explore our print library as well as our other media material. We have a wide variety of items of interest for all ages and groups. We are open to members, visitors, and people in our community. Our hours are Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. till 12:15 p.m. (We are closed during services). To check out an item you need to fill out a contact card. All items can be checked out for 3 weeks at a time. Children under 12 must also have their parents / guardians sign the contact card. Here are some of the materials and media we have available:
- Lifegroup Materials: From kits, study guides, commentaries, research material to prepare for leading small groups, and books to enhance your Lifegroup study.
- Non-Fiction Christian reading on a wide range of subjects from Christian family/living, dating/purity, devotional, wellness, financial, economical, gardening, leadership, marriage, mentoring, missions, parenting, homeschooling, and of course, biographies.
- Resources within the library: Commentaries, Bible dictionaries, concordances, Bible encyclopedias, Bible expositors, Bible atlas, and books telling of the customs of the different people from the Bible.
- Fiction: We have a large group of popular authors covering topics such as, romance, mystery, suspense, drama, and comedy. These range from books for children, junior adults, young adults, and adults.
- Movie/Media Material: We are acquiring movies from children to family movies, Audio Books on CD, as well as DVD teaching series.
- We have a computer that you can use to access the Internet as well as basic Office programs. You can print from this computer as well (there is a small charge per page). There is also a copier to use for your class materials.
- Book Sale shelves: Just like the Garland County Library we have a book/media sale area. The proceeds from these items go to purchase new material for our Library & Media Center.
